A commissioned birthday gift quilt. The quilt combines images and symbols of important aspects of the recipient's life. It shows a dreamy setting in which to write poetry, a light, airy room on the Maine coast. The table holds favorite books and a tiny version of an actual poem in progress. The vase holds flowers representing all the family members.
